Dear Families,

I am so excited as we approach the 2026-2027 school year!  I hope you have been able to enjoy summer and time with family and friends.  As we prepare for the beginning of the year, I’d like to thank our custodial, transportation, cafeteria, and office staff who have been working so hard over the summer to have our schools and facilities ready for the first day of school.  I’d also like to thank our teaching and paraprofessional staff who have been working in our summer programs to keep students engaged and prepare them for the new school year. 

The first day for students in grades 1-12 and TIES will be Wednesday, September 2.  We will have full days of school on Wednesday, September 2 and Thursday, September 3.  These will also be Kindergarten Orientation days.  There will be no school on Friday, September 4.  Pre-K and K classes will begin on Tuesday, September 8.  As you prepare to send your student back to school this fall, you may be interested in some parent resources from Edutopia, The Child Mind Institute, HealthyChildren.org, and PBS for Parents.  If this is your first time sending your child off to school you may want to check out The New Parent Survival Guide.  Once again this year, school breakfast and lunch meals will be provided to all students at no cost.  School breakfast and lunch are excellent ways to ensure your child is eating a healthy, nutritious meal each day.  

Preparations for the school year have been ongoing over the summer, and we are eager to greet all of our students and families in September.  This year, we welcome Mr. Ronald Taylor as Millis Middle School Principal.  I know you join me in wishing Ron great success as the educational leader of Millis Middle.

September 24 Clyde Brown Curriculum Night
