Good afternoon,
As you may be aware, there was some new DESE guidance that came out today regarding masking and outdoor activities. At this time we are still under the Millis Public Schools Mask Policy that requires students, staff, and all visitors to be masked while on school grounds whether indoors or outdoors. The Millis School Committee is having a special virtual meeting Wednesday night to review the district’s mask policy in light of the latest guidance from the CDC, the state, and the DESE. If there are any changes, I will notify families as soon as possible.
I'd like to thank everyone for their patience and cooperation as we deal with this influx of new and sometimes conflicting guidance from national and state agencies. We are hopeful that the positive trend in COVID-19 numbers continues and that many of the restrictions under which we conducted school in 2020-2021 will be removed in 2021-2022.
