Millis High School In-Person Learning Survey
Published on Mar 11, 2021 17:09

Based on guidance from the Department of Elementary and Secondary Education (DESE) about returning to full in-person learning, we are seeking information on families' intentions as we prepare for the transition.

Although the state has not announced an official return date for high school students yet, we are planning on a full return to five-day-a-week in-person learning for our students in late April/early May.  There will also be an option available for those students that choose to stay remote for the remainder of this school year (our current remote classroom model will remain the same for those students).   When this transition occurs, student seating in our classrooms will be between 3 to 6 feet apart, depending on the room and class.  Our safety protocols will remain in place, and students will still be required to wear masks, except when eating lunch or on supervised mask breaks.  During the lunch period and mask breaks, we will continue to enforce six-foot distancing while unmasked.

In this Millis High School In-Person Learning Survey, families are asked to make a commitment to the model your student will participate in for the remainder of the school year, once an official date has been set for a full return to five-day-a-week in-person learning at the high school level.  You may choose the Fully In-Person Model or the Fully Remote Model.  Again, we are asking for a commitment to the model you choose so that we can appropriately prepare our facility and staffing to meet the needs of our students.

If you have more than one student in the high school, please complete one survey for each student.

This form will close on Thursday, March 18, 2021, at 5:00pm.

Respectfully,

Mark Awdycki, Principal
Millis High School
