Dear Millis Families,
I would like to take this opportunity to wish all of our students and their families a happy and healthy holiday season. 2020 has turned out to be a year we could have never imagined a year ago at this time. I thank you for all the sacrifice, support, and encouragement you have provided to your students as they have navigated these unforeseen challenges and disappointments. I know it has been an incredibly stressful time for families, but I have been so impressed with the resilience I’ve seen among kids. This is a testament to the values of positivity and persistence instilled in our students by their families.
I was so proud to have been selected to serve as Superintendent for this district. Over the years I’ve worked in Millis, I have come to learn that Small School-Big Family is not just a trite slogan. This community embodies the ideals of family and looks after all its members. Whether it’s delivering Halloween packages to members of our senior class or taking up a collection to acknowledge the efforts of substitute teachers, the families of Millis continue to demonstrate amazing support for their schools and students. I am so fortunate to work in a truly special place.
I believe we will have better fortunes in 2021. I’m sure it’s not going to be a straight line, but we are moving in the right direction. My best to all of our families during this holiday season. I hope you are able to relax and spend time with family and loved ones whether it’s in-person or through zoom celebrations. May the peace of the season follow your family throughout the new year.
With Sincere Gratitude,
Bob Mullaney
Superintendent
