Upcoming Schedule; Cohort B in-person learning 12/22
Published on Dec 14, 2020 19:44
Good evening,
Currently there is a
snow storm predicted for Wednesday night into Thursday morning.
Hopefully the forecast will change in the next couple of days and the
storm will avoid us. However, if the storm does arrive as predicted and
results in the closing of our school buildings, our plan is that all
students will participate in remote learning on that day. If we
experience a storm that results in widespread power outages, then
we will have a more traditional "snow day" which requires a make
up day in June. We will try to give families as much notice as possible
if this is to occur via our listservs and robo-calls as well as local
media outlets.
Recently, some families have experienced all
phone contacts associated with their students being called with school
messages. Please know we are working to rectify this situation and
apologize for any confusion or inconvenience that has resulted.
Due
to a number of factors this year, Cohort B students have had fewer
in-person days than Cohort A students. We will be working to rectify
this discrepancy during the remainder of the school year. To
provide both Cohort A and B students with access to in-person learning
prior to the upcoming holiday break, we are adjusting the schedule as
follows:
Monday December 21 Cohort A students in-person, Cohort B students remote
Tuesday December 22 Cohort B students in-person, Cohort A students remote
Wednesday December 23 All students learn remotely, early dismissal (10:55 MS/HS; CFB 11:25)
For the week, Cohort A parents will fill out the Safety App on Sunday night and Cohort B parents will fill out the Safety App on Monday night.
I would like to thank our families for their patience and flexibility as we navigate this unusual school year.
Thank you,
Bob Mullaney
Superintendent
