Clyde Brown School remaining in remote Monday and Tuesday
Published on Dec 11, 2020 17:48

Good evening,

The Clyde F. Brown Elementary School will remain fully remote on Monday, December 14th, and Tuesday, December 15th due to the impact of COVID-19 in the greater community.  All CFB students in Cohort A will learn remotely on Monday and Tuesday.  There will be no in-person learning for any students at Clyde Brown.  This includes special education students, students in the Foundations program, and PreK.  Please understand that Clyde Brown School's continuation in the fully remote model is not due to any in-school transmission of COVID-19, but rather the the lack of qualified substitute teachers available at this time.  We are hopeful that we will be able to train new substitute teacher candidates on Monday and Tuesday so that Clyde Brown can shift back to Hybrid Learning on Thursday December 17.  Additionally, we anticipate some staff currently quarantining will be clear to return to in-person teaching by Thursday.  Again, we apologize for the inconvenience to families, but once again, we feel we could not conduct in-person learning in a safe and orderly fashion with the lack of qualified substitutes.

Cohort A Students at Millis Middle and Millis High School are not impacted by this closure.  Middle and High School students will continue with in-person learning on Monday and Tuesday.
