 MID-SUMMER UPDATE 
Happy Summer, CFB School Community!
We hope you are enjoying the lazy days of summer! Things are busy at the new CFB - we are all working hard to ensure that everything is ready for our first day of school in our new school!
In this update, you will find information on summer Reading Logs and Math calendars, school supply lists - there are links that enable you to access these documents! Also, you will find information about our new interim principal, upcoming “Find Your Way” family orientation days, first day school start information, and some preliminary information about new arrival and dismissal procedures; more explicit information about arrival and dismissal will be communicated out as we get closer to the start of school.
We look forward to introducing you to our beautiful new school - it’s going to be a GREAT school year!

Clyde Brown Classroom Supply Lists 2019-2020
Clyde F. Brown’s Interim Principal:
Welcome to Mr. Joe Russo who will be the Clyde Brown Elementary School’s Interim Principal starting in October 2019. Mr. Russo comes to Millis originally from Newton where he worked as an elementary school principal and assistant superintendent for 15 years. Joe has served as an interim principal in many local school districts over the past few years and supervises and coaches Principals through the Harvard Graduate School of Education and Teachers 21. Mr. Phelps and Ms. Molloy have met with Mr. Russo and will continue to work on an effective transition plan, so that it is a smooth and efficient process. We are excited to have Mr. Russo join the CFB team!
New School Updates:
We are 5 Weeks Away from opening the new Clyde F. Brown Elementary School!! We will be sharing information with you as the weeks progress. Here are some important pieces of information that you will want to know:
FIND YOUR WAY DAYS are an opportunity for students and families to visit the school, take a self guided tour and find your way around the new building.
FIRST DAY OF SCHOOL INFORMATION:

The First Day of School For Students in Grades 1-5 is Tuesday 9/3. All students will proceed to the GYM where they will meet their new classroom teacher.

Kindergarten students will attend screening dates on 9/3 or 9/4. The First Day for Kindergarten Students is Thursday 9/5.

Preschool students will attend a visiting day on 9/5. Families will be receiving an email from the Preschool teachers. The First Day For PreSchool Students is 9/9.

Parents/Caregivers will not enter the school with their children, so please plan to say your goodbyes and good luck hugs before they arrive at school.

Should you wish to take pictures of your student in front of the school, we will have First Day 2019-2020 signs available on the FIND YOUR WAY DAYS.
ARRIVAL AND DISMISSAL PROCEDURES:
Attached are the New Arrival and Dismissal Procedures for 2019-2020: ARRIVAL AND DISMISSAL PROCEDURES 2019-2020. As we begin to get closer to the start of the school year additional information will be forthcoming. Also, at Find Your Way Days families will be able to pick up Parent/Caregiver Signs to be displayed on the dashboard of your vehicle for the Live Pick Up Line at the end of the day.
