Take advantage of a rainy day and have your child practice their sorting skills - try coins, buttons, legos, etc. Talk about three-dimensional shapes and go on a shape hunt, or play a board game that involves math. For older children, practice place value skills with a number toss, draw and sort different types of triangles or build money skills by comparison shopping or making a "restaurant" at home.
