Dear Millis Middle School Grade 8 Student and your Parents/Guardians,
On Thursday, September 15th all grade 8 students were assigned an iPad by the school district to be used during the school year. iPads will not be coming home with students until sometime after October 15th. In the meantime, teachers will work with students in school on how to use the iPad to support their learning and the grade 8 coursework.

What should I buy my child this holiday season: Computer, Netbook or Mobile device like the iPad?
I have been asked by a few different parents this holiday season my thoughts on which type of device will best serve their child as a learning tool to support their education in Millis. This is a great question! I'll try to answer based on what I know about how things are going. Please keep in mind that the computer devices are changing so rapidly that it is very hard to predict even two years out what the device of choice will be.
