Delay or cancellation probable
Published on Mar 13, 2018 22:09

Dear Millis Families,

We are still gathering information to make determinations about school opening and start times for tomorrow. It looks like major roads should be accessible, but some of the lesser roads still need clearing and sidewalks may not be clear.

Also, with some snowfall continuing tonight, it will take a lot of work to clear the buildings for entry into school at the regular time. Additionally, because of daylight savings, the mornings pose increased darkness, which  presents another worry for tomorrow, given the high snow banks.

I will communicate as soon as I have gathered all the information necessary in the morning to make the most informed decision possible. I am sending this email so that you are aware that school may not start on time tomorrow and that both a delay and a cancellation are possible. Please know that our buildings and grounds crew, as well as DPW personnel, are working all night in an effort to open the schools and clear the roadways.

Thank you for your patience during these difficult days.
