Think Spring! 2017 Sports and Registration Open, & Important Dates
Published on Mar 3, 2017 12:25

Dear Parents and Guardians of Millis athletes:

The spring season is quickly approaching; hopefully Mother Nature continues to cooperate!

There will be a two-week registration period, from today, March 3rd until Friday, March 17th.  Please complete online registration, and submit ANY REQUIRED PAPERWORK (Physicals, Concussion education certificates, and PREVIOUSLY OUTSTANDING USER FEES) ASAP, and NO LATER THAN

MANDATORY PRESEASON PARENT & ATHLETE MEETING (each participant and a parent/guardian are expected to attend):

**Please note there are new topics we are required to cover by the state, and an attendance record is required.  If you are unable to attend, please contact me at

****If there is a basketball playoff game that evening I will likely reschedule the meeting, or start it earlier***

**Please visit for sports registration, including all instructions on requirements.

Millis Athletic user fees will now be paid online.  Many of you have used this process already for youth sports and municipal payments.  For those that have not used it yet, it is a very simple process of setting up an account and entering your payment choice: credit card (% fee added) or electronic check (25 cent fee).  Once you have completed your registration on familyid you will click the provided link on the registration page that will take you to the online payment system.  Or you can go to our school website,, and click on the ‘Athletics tab’ and then click on ‘online payment’.  First time users will set up their account and enter their payment.  Repeat users will simply sign in with their user name and password and make their payment.

FAQ:  What if my child does not make the team and I need a refund?   Good question… Make sure you retain your payment transaction confirmation number.  That is your key piece of information for your refund.  With clearance from the school, you will contact the bank, give them the payment confirmation number and they will reverse the charges.

Those families that owe past due fees will now be able to use the online system to bring their account up to current status.  This new system will make for a much more efficient process while offering families a choice for how to pay their fees.  We hope you enjoy and appreciation the new format.  Thank you.

PLEASE review the information on FamilyID thoroughly for ALL the details on requirements, including deadlines and important dates, user fees, annual concussion education, online registration, physical exams, preseason meetings, and ImPACT testing.  Links to necessary websites are also provided on the Millis FamilyID page.

**It is IMPERITIVE that parents and athletes be sure that we have a current physical exam on file for the athlete.  Physical exams expire 13 months from the date they were performed.  If your child's physical is expired/expires soon, and their next physical has not yet been performed, please contact their physician's office right away and be sure to explain that they WILL NOT be allowed to participate without a current physical being submitted to the athletics department.  If necessary, there are multiple facilities locally that provide walk-in sports physicals- I am happy to forward the list I have compiled to anyone who needs it.

Spring sports offered (Grades 7-12) include:

Boys and Girls Outdoor Track & Field

Boys Volleyball

Girls Tennis

Please contact me via e-mail with any questions.

Thank you!
