Millis Celebrates Our Veterans
Published on Nov 10, 2016 10:55

The Millis Public Schools would like to thank the following veterans for giving so generously of their time to come meet with our students. The Sophomore Class engaged in small group interviews and discussions around topics and questions they developed while studying US History.   The small group setting enabled students to gain a deep sense of the experiences of our veterans.  Heartfelt thanks to these gentlemen for their service to our country and for their continued service to educating our youth:  Bill Dooling-US Army, Vietnam,  Jon Wanders- US Marines, Iraq, Scott Peck- Staff Sargent-Army National Guard, Iraq, John Wypyszinski-US Navy, Operation Iraqi Freedom, Eric Burgess- US Marines, various locations, Charlie Mucciaccio-US Army, Vietnam, Gary Gentile- Vietnam, Lawrence McCarter-Vietnam, Bob Yeager- Air Force, Vietnam and Drew Welch- US Marines, Beirut, Lebanon.

Our schools are closed on Veteran's Day so that students and families may participate in activities honoring our veterans such as the Millis Veterans' Day Ceremony on Nov. 11th at which our High School Band will play.
