Family Decision for Hybrid or Fully Remote
Published on Oct 1, 2020 16:03

Since September 16, 2020, the Millis Public Schools has been utilizing a fully remote model for instruction.   We are currently planning for a shift to a hybrid model potentially as early as October 19.   In order to successfully plan for the switch,  we need to know your wishes for your students.  There are two choices – the hybrid model or the long-term remote model with Millis staff.

The Hybrid model will allow students to come back into our schools for two days per week in assigned cohorts.  Cohort A will come to school Monday and Tuesday.  Cohort B will come to school Thursday and Friday.   All students will be remote on Wednesday.

The Long Term Remote model will allow students to continue working from home and they will be attending the remote days of both Cohort A and B.   All five days will be remote.

Due to scheduling, we are asking that whichever choice you make, that you are committing to that choice for the semester/trimester.

Please note that you are asked to fill out one survey for your entire family, but the questions are set up so that you will need to answer the questions for each child separately.

When you have completed the questionnaire please be sure to go to the end of the document and hit SUBMIT. If you have questions, please call the office of your children's school for best information.

Thank you for your patience and support as we navigate how to provide the best possible education we can during these difficult times. Please click on the link below to let us know your thoughts.

Warm regards,
Nancy Gustafson
