Dear Clyde Brown parents, caretakers and community members,
As the demolition of the old Clyde Brown buildings occurs we want to provide you with information regarding the plans that have been approved by the Mass Department of Environmental Protection (DEP). The demolition of the brick walls of the old school are being removed in a controlled manner that meets the requirements of the Mass DEP and is supervised by a third party industrial hygienist. Continuous monitoring of air quality is occurring around the area and out of an overabundance of caution, work is restricted to only certain hours of each day. Work will be suspended if any concern arises during the air monitoring.
