SMALL SCHOOL, BIG FUTURES Tomorrow!
Published on Mar 5, 2019 14:35

Parents are reminded that tomorrow is our Small School-Big Futures conference.  The conference will feature a keynote address by Ron DiBona, part of the Thrive Now Boston Team, a group committed to creating and enhancing experiences by bringing the foundation of positive psychology and principles driving the science of happiness to the greater population.
Students will choose from
nearly 20 break-out sessions with representatives from the Department of Homeland Security, SAP, Tara West Fashion, Citizens Bank, Brigham and Women’s Hospital, New England Baptist Hospital, MEDITECH, Lakeview Pavilion, Locke Lord LLP, Ultragenyx Pharmaceutical, and more.  They will be presenting on topics such as “Personal Branding”, “Business and Sales in the Digital Economy”, “Careers in Healthcare”, “How to Become a Social Media Influencer”, “How to Ace a College of Job Interview”, “The Art of Listening”, “From Athletics to the Real World”, “Turning Adversity into Growth”, and “The Keys to Happiness: Positive Psychology”.
There will also be a career fair with
nearly 30 industry professionals setting up tables to present to Millis High students.  Among those expected to be present are representatives from Hasbro, Aeroventure Flight School, Transportation Security Administration, Needham Bank, CVS Pharmacy, Consigli Construction, Twist Bakery and Café, Millis Police and Fire Departments, Acton and Millis Animal Hospitals, and Best Physical Therapy of Norfolk, as well as representatives from a variety of other industries.
We are excited to welcome these professionals who take time out of their busy schedules to meet with our students. We are asking our students to dress appropriately for the day and to carpool if they drive as the parking will be tight with all of our guests. Thank you for your support. Although this is an early release day, we feel it is a very important day to have all our students attend.
