list serve message-12-7-18-Parent volunteers for Early Release Days Needed
Published on Dec 7, 2018 15:02
The Millis Public Library is seeking Early Release Volunteers to help monitor the library on Early Release days. On the average day, the Millis Public Library sees between 12-40 teens and tweens after school. On Early Dismissal days this rises to 80-100. Early Release volunteers will help the staff monitor library spaces to ensure that the large number of teens and tweens occupying the building are behaving in a manner that is safe, calm, and in compliance with library rules. Ideal volunteers would have a thick skin, a good sense of humor, and experience working with (or parenting) this age group. The library wants to welcome students on early release days, so volunteers should be able to tolerate a moderate level of chaos while still enforcing rules that affect the comfort and safety of all patrons using the space.
