Millis Leos and Project Just Because Clothing Drive: Help The Millis High School Leos Fill Up Brooksy’s Truck For A Great Cause!
The Millis Leos are essentially the Millis High School Lions Club. The club is a service group with roughly 70 MHS members. Project Just Because in Hopkinton supplies adults and children in need with a variety of support. They provide clothing, toiletries, career items, blankets, toys, baby items, housewares, etc.. They serve many families in the area including Millis families. Visit their website: projectjustbecause.org. The two groups are teaming up and you can help!
April 28th 8:30a.m.-11:00 a.m. and May 5th 9:00a.m. -11:00a.m. at the Town Hall Parking Lot
Teenage-sized clothing needed:
• A New Pair of Socks
• A New Pair Underwear
• A New T-shirt or Pair of Shorts
• A New Sweatshirt
• New sneakers
The town hall will be busy on the 28th for the annual Beautification Day, so it’s a great day to be out and about, helping to clean up the town and/or dropping off an item for donation. Again, the Leos will be collecting on the following Saturday, May 5th, as well. Just look for the truck by the softball field. Tax receipts will be available. The clothing will be brought to PJB in Hopkinton. Let’s see if we can fill up Millis Leo, superbowl champ, and baseball captain, Andrew Brooks’s truck! Also, grab a cup of freshly brewed hot or iced coffee when you drop off your item.
