Reminder-Tonight is the Heart Health & Preventing Sudden Cardia Death in Youth presentation

Dear Parents and Guardians of students ages 12 and over:

 

A reminder that tonight, 1/17/18 at 7pm, in the high school library, Millis High School will be hosting Dr. John Cadigan, MD, FACC and Cindy Glennon RN, BSN, co-founders of the Boston ECG Project ([Link]www.bostonecgproject.com), for an informational presentation in preparation for ECG screenings to be offered at the school on February 7th and 8th, during school hours.  Students ages 12 and over are eligible for this screening.  Screening is a 2-5 minute, painless, non invasive 12 lead ECG test.  More information is also attached.  Screenings were offered 2 years ago and were a great success!

1 out of 200 adolescents will harbor a potential lethal undiagnosed cardiac condition

 

The ECG is 9x more likely to identify a potential lethal undiagnosed cardiac condition than the usual history and physical
