Happy Thanksgiving to Middle School families! Enjoy this November newsletter.
Dear Parents and Families,
Here is the next installment in my Newsletter series! For those who are unaware, my name is Jess O'Reilly. I am a senior at MHS and my senior project is the writing and publishing of newsletters for all of you about health and wellness. I am very excited to continue sharing fun information throughout the year!
Visit the 2015 Barnes and Noble Book Fair on Monday, December 14 - all day at the Bellingham store or online at BN.com/bookfairs. We will not be having guest readers this year, however members of the MHS Band and Chorus will be performing sometime between 4-6 pm and artwork will be on display. Coupons will be at the registers and our bookfair ID code is ID #11764149. A percentage of purchases, including purchases of Nook items, cheesecakes, and online items will help add to our libraries' collections of newer titles as well as add books to our Nooks.
Please return the entire, undamaged portrait package to the photographer on Retake Day. You can keep the class photo. Write any suggestions for the photographer on a piece of paper so it shows through the envelope window. Retake day is rain or shine. Retake packages will be distributed approximately 3 to 5 weeks after Retake Day.
The Millis Public Schools is excited to announce a Bullying Prevention Parent Information Night with Dr. Elizabeth Englander.
Millis Middle School students watched videos and participated in discussions about the history of Veterans Day. Children reflected and shared personal connections and stories about family members and friends who have served, or are currently serving, in our armed forces. We have great respect for those who have dedicated their lives to serving our country - we honor and thank them.
Middle School students are encouraged to attend the Millis Veterans Day Observance at the American Legion Post 208 at 11am. The Millis High School Band will be taking part in this ceremony.
Enjoy this November newsletter from Grade 5!
Starting a movement has been the focus of discussion for the Middle School Leadership Team this year. On Thursday evening, several students came to the library to listen to Suffolk University student, Isaac Berko, speak about his experiences and the community programs he helped to develop as a high school student in Worcester. Isaac spoke about what it means to be a leader and encouraged students to stand out and make a difference. Thank you to Mrs. Hickey for organizing this event!
